Laptop model- Aspire 715-51G

Configuration- intel core i5 1240p, 8 GB Ram, 512GB SSD, RTX 3050, 4GB

issue- poor battery backup.

battery backup is only 2 to 2:30 Hrs ( Idle condition, doing literally nothing, GFX card disabled)

when the laptop was new, the battery backup was poor, I did calibration, charged and discharged 4 to 5 times completely as instructed by technical team,

and updated BIOS to latest version- at that time problem seems to be resolved, it started to give 4 to 5Hr battery backup while watching videos ( GFX card connect, not being used)

But now it again started to give poor battery backup, only 2 Hrs backup. i dont know what to do. for now, I am currently recalibrating its battery.

here is screen shot for discharge rate.

I unplugged the charger at 3:25 PM and at 5:20 PM is it 3 percent, with very low usage… which used to be 4 to 5 Hrs

What is running on the background, you need to check that in Sytem: Power & Battery. uninstall some of the programs that use a lot of power and you don't need. Also disable any battery limiter bloatware the battery charge option in ACC. Create a Windows battery report and print to PDF. Post that in your reply @Puraw

Paste this in the Command Prompt: powercfg /batteryreport and open the report with Edge (right click on the screen when opened) and print to Microsoft PDF.

I am aware of Notebook use😊 I always check in taskmanager what takes lot of cpu.

But company's claim was minimum 8Hrs backup while browsing or watching video. I never got that except first month of owning this Laptop.

Now the full Battery charge capacity has decreased to 66.79% ( it varies time to time i.e. sometime it shows 72% sometimes 75%, sometime 62%, once it showed 36%). There is abnormal battery behaviour. Did all calibrations full charge and full discharge, but nothing worked.

It seems charge holding ability is not good. At that time in July 2023 it was 94% after running ADS by Engineer sent by Service center.

Here is screenshot of how battery capacity has decreased over the time-

Bad thing is that they are providing false information that Battery and Adaptor warranty is for 6 Months only. So I have to purchase new battery, But in the warranty policy, there is nothing written about it.

Now I have another Call open, but it seems they are doing nothing. Service engineer sent at my place has confirmed that battery is faulty and need to be replaced but on chargeable basis.
