Aspire ES-14 No Bootable Device. Bcdedit might be the cause.

Long post, please bear with me.

TLDR: Tried to dual boot lubuntu, can't boot into it since laptop boots straight into Windows, tried bunch of things leading to execution of "bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\ubuntu\shimx64.efi" in admin cmd. Laptop is restarted after it then next thing it shows "No bootable device" and also removing Windows Boot Manager on the boot priority.

----

I tried to dual boot lubuntu with the currently installed windows 10 in my laptop. Installation wizard of lubuntu has shown installation complete and restart now checkbox as checked. When I restarted the device, the acer logo showed up alongside the lubuntu logo with message along the lines of powered by lubuntu, however the laptop froze during this and so I thought I should force shutdown.

The computer booted up and it went straight to Windows, which I didn't want since I just installed lubuntu. I searched for possible solutions and came across an instruction saying that I should go back into the live demo of lubuntu and execute boot-repair. After doing so, a message appeared that if it still boots into windows I type "bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\ubuntu\shimx64.efi". The command executed fine so I restarted. However, the next screen that popped up is "No bootable device", I checked how to fix it and tried to change the boot priority but Windows Boot Manager is not anymore on the list, which was previously there.

I tried searching for other solutions but I can't choose a trusted UEFI File or so, and can't disable Secure Boot. I can change from UEFI to Legacy but afraid it might make things worse.

I can try to clean install lubuntu since it is the only bootable flash drive I have but am afraid that it will just froze again making no progress at solving the problem.
