Acer vg240y/75Hz better display quality by 60 Hz ?

I noticed that the picture quality is much better at 60Hz. you can see more details on a dark background. at 75hz there is eye strain, colors are saturated and you can't see details in the dark parts of the image. it looks like it is a 60hz matrix overclocked into 75h.what do you think abut that ?

  • Hi @advanceduser the refresh rate is proportional to the screen resolution, 75Hz gives more quality than 60Hz but you must look for the appropriate resolution that will generally appear in Windows as the default or recommended resolution.

    75Hz doesn't give more quality than 60Hz, it just helps with flicker by refreshing the display more often. Image quality is really a function of screen resolution, not refresh rate. Both screen resolution and refresh rates are handled by the video output. What computer are you using, and what GPU does it have? It might be underpowered for 75Hz…

    intel hd 5500 in core i3 laptop. by 75hz (nativ freq) black color ist too black. detail are not visible. trees on are only one black spot.
