So I just bought this monitor and i want to mount it without damaging it….

The included screws in the monitor arent long enough, the screw holes are set back and the screws cant get into the screw holes, then when i try my extended vesa screws they are too long and i can see them touch something inside the monitor so i cant put them in all the way.

one of the reasons I bought the monitor was the mount it, i had no issues mounting another monitor i have but the screw holes are set too far back and i dont want to damage the monitor

What are you trying to mount it too. The screws provided are for the most common mounts using a standard 100mm x 100mm VESA mounting plate. However, there many various interfaces under this VESA standard. So different mount manufacturers may use different size brackets & thicknesses so there's no universal standard screw length. Since we have no idea what mount you're trying to use. you could take the existing screws to a hardware store and get the correct metric size length you need for your particular mount.

Sometimes it's best to use standoffs to mount to a VESA. You can simulate standoffs with a stack of washers if you can't find something the right length. If the mount sits flat against the VESA screw holes on the monitor though just get some shorter or longer screws to hold it in.
