My brand new VG272 S monitor has worked once last night. Hasn't since

Any basic troubleshooting trick I've likely done it. Swapped cables around, restarted my pc dozens of times, tried to change things around in control panel and see if anything was going on in the incident manager. It worked one time for a few hours last night after I was mashing F8 to get into the boot screen, didn't select anything and canceled that, turned my pc off and on again. I've tried that twice this morning and no result. I thought it would be fine after I fixed it somehow the first time. Apparently not.

My pc recognizes the monitor and it shows in the windows display settings but all I get is an illuminated black screen.
