I have Acer aspire 5 Intel core i5 laptop with RTX 2050 graphics card but after buying laptop I realised card is not GPU supported. But it has a thunderbolt port. So, can I connect a graphics card with this port.

  • What is the exact model? Example AN515-55-5890. About the thunderbolt port, it is possible to connect an external monitor and a dedicated gpu!

Yes, we need to know the exact model number in order to look up specs. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like A5xxx-xxx-xxxx. once we know what you have we can look into the TBT port to determine if it will handle an eGPU. If it does support that it's a fairly expensive way to upgrade the GPU from your current 2050 to a newer model, but it is possible. I ran a laptop as my desktop for a couple of years using an eGPU.
