White screen after logging into Windows 11

Has anyone ever had this screen appear after logging onto Windows 11?
Working fine night before and today nothing. I'm so ticked off right now.
I can restart into safe mode but don't know how to get normal windows back. Starting with no startup items other than system does not work either.
System displays some text for a nanosecond, then this. No key makes it go away.
Is my only option to reset?

My solution comes as a fluke. When looking at the screenshot in the MS KB article I posted earlier, I figured if I tab, space, tab, tab, enter, I should make it through. Since that did not work, I just got mad and started shift-tabbing which got me into a little window in the lower left of the white graphic that had something about location, on which I was able to click continue.

Then the options to say yes or no showed up and I was able to pick no and then next and voila - I'm back in. I don't understand why the display on this stupid message distorted so badly, but I'm back in and all is working again. If someone else comes across this thread in the future and needs more detail I can try to add more then.

I should also add that Acer Control Center stopped working months ago and newer versions don't work either.

• Hey! What happens when you put your fingerprint or click on the lock?

Nothing at all. I cannot click anything and no key presses do anything at all. I'm going to record the screen at start up to see if I can capture the message that displays for a split second (you miss it if you blink - quite helpful).

• OK! Try this procedure:
a) enter safe mode again.
b) then, press windows+r, type msconfig, go to services, select HIDE MICROSOFT SERVICES and then disable all.
c) disable safe mode and restart windows.

Sometimes a simple system restore will fix the issue..

If you are able to login to windows..

Try windows + x on keyboard. It will show you a menu
click on power shell admin or command prompt admin or Terminal admin - click on yes
type rstrui on blue or black window
chose an earlier date on which your computer was working fine
click on next, finish, yes
It will restore your computer to an earlier date
if you get an message - system restore not completed or completed - click on close
It will show you all the icons..
Try and check whether it is working now ..

Step 2

How to do system restore without logging into computer.

On the login screen

please dont type the pin on password

You will see a power button on the lower right corner of screen. If you are not able to see it, please type a wrong password or pin. It will show you the power button now. If you click on it , it will show you sleep shutdown or restart.

Hold the shift key on lower left corner of keyboard and click on restart ( If you click on power button on lower right corner of login screen , it will show you sleep, shutdown , restart )

As soon as you see please wait, chose an option, continue , troubleshoot please remove the finger from shift key

Go to troubleshoot - advanced options - click on system restore

chose an earlier date on which your computer was working fine
click on next, finish, yes
It will restore your computer to an earlier date
if you get an message - system restore not completed or completed - click on close
It will show you all the icons..
Try and check whether it is working now ..

I recorded the screen while logging in and this is the text verbatim as it appears for a nanosecond just below the blue square in the top left:

Do you want to keep storing your face or
fingerprint data on this PC?

-----------------------------------------—----
Yes, sign in with my face or fingerprint
Keep storing my data so I can sign in to this
PC with Windows Hello or fingerprint
 recognition.
-----------------------------------------------

Now that I have this information, I found this KB from MS >> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/kb5028763-you-are-asked-to-choose-if-you-want-to-keep-signing-in-with-your-face-or-fingerprint-c9edc1bb-9da8-4caa-b0cb-0ec4d87c2b97.

Now I have to figure out how to get it to accept a "no" answer and move on OR remove my fingerprint while in safe mode (hopefully it will eventually appear, but it is still spinning on sign-in options in safe mode :( ).  I've been using PIN so long I don't remember what finger I used and no matter which one I swipe, it does nothing when that screen appears.

I'll post a solution if I find one, but will accept anyone's input. Thanks!

It may work but I don't want to factory reset. There has to be a way to remove fingerprint ***** in Windows while in safe mode to avoid a complete reset.
