Hey guys,

I have the Acer swift 3 SF314-43 with Windows 11. At first, No matter i clicked, i could not scan my fingerprint or enter a password. It would try to log in and immediatel jump back to the log in screen again. Ihad to press CTRL + ALT + DEL to see the thing where I could enter my PIN. Even then, it would jump back to the login screen.

I tried everything. From starting in Safe Mode with network connection (F5), to uninstalling quality windows Updates. After the uninstalling of the quality windows updates, when i restarted my laptop, the login page was suddenly replaced by a black screen. After this i tried to do a factory reset of my laptop, but keeping my files. I had some kind of error with a blue screen and it still shows me a black screen. Now i am the complete battery reset, with the batter drain, 30 mins waiting and fully recharging it and then i will start it again. What can I do to fix it?

Thank you very much!

If you don't have this drive, make a Windows recovery flash drive on another Windows11 PC: Insert a +10GB, USB2.0, Fat32, flash drive in the USB2.0 port and type Create a Recovery drive in the Search bar. This will take 15-20 minutes. Take the drive out and insert it in your laptop USB2.0 port. Boot to BIOS with F2 and go to the Boot Devices screen, move the USB recovery drive to the top of the boot devices list. Save settings on exit and Reboot. Then follow these instructions: https://windowsreport.com/logonui-exe-application-error/

I suggest either Repair or restart in Safe Mode to disable all non-Windows programs in MSConfig.exe (Safe Boot with Base Video) and reboot.

    The battery drain didnt work.

When I try to run Safe Mode, I get the following Error:

    LogonUI.exe

The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application.

What can I do to fix this?

It sounds like your Windows install is corrupted, at least for LogonUI.exe or one of the bits it needs. You can try SFC and DISM to fix it or just do a full reset using Alt-F10 at startup.
