I have a Triton 500 se (Predator PT516-51s) and the CPU sits at a constant 100C when gaming on extreme. The default setting makes it slightly cooler at 92C. I sent it in for repairs where they replaced the thermal paste and pads, but it did not change at all. At the beginning of owning the laptop, it maxed out mid 80s. When measuring the temps in Afterburner, some cores stay as low as 20 degrees cooler, while others stay at 100C. What could be the issue?

Raise laptop about an inch above a hard surface to promote airflow in/out of the case, taking care not to block the air intake & exhaust vents on the bottom cover.

Do NOT use a cooling pad as its upward airflow will impede opposing laptop air exhaust and thus reduce airflow inside the case on this particular model.

Occasional max 92*C for the CPU under heavy load should be OK. But dGPU should remain less than 86*C under heavy load.
