Acer Aspire A314-32. No bootable device and does not detect SSD.

Hello everyone! Today, I encountered an issue with my laptop and had to perform a forced shutdown by holding down the power button for around 10 seconds or less. The reason behind this action was that my laptop was displaying no output on the screen. However, upon turning it back on, I was greeted with a message stating that no bootable device was detected. To further investigate, I accessed the BIOS settings, only to find that it couldn't detect my SSD. Additionally, I attempted to install Windows, but unfortunately, it didn't recognize the presence of an SSD. For reference, my laptop model is the Acer Aspire A314-32.

Hi @Muneeb42 If the disk is not recognized in BIOS, there is a physical problem in the disk itself or in its connector, it is even possible that it is the reason that forced you to shut down the computer abruptly.

In these cases I recommend removing the drive, cleaning the contacts and disconnecting the battery for a few seconds and reconnecting it.

Thanks for you suggested solution. But it did not work, I also Cleaned the SSD pins and the connector but it did not fix the problem.

Likely the drive has failed then. You will want to verify that by connecting the drive to a different computer (I'd get one of the external cases) to see if it can be read. I believe your models came with either a 2.5" SATA HDD, a SATA M.2 SSD or an eMMC. Since you say you cleaned the pins I think you have the SATA M.2 drive. Get one of the SATA M.2 external cases, they are inexpensive, to test the drive before replacing it with a new drive.
