My laptop acer nitro 5 with amd 5 5600H and rtx 3060 is overheating. Since i bought it temperature on my cpu is very high (65+ on windows, 90 in any game). Everything is working fine inside i think my cpu is throttling. I changed thermal paste and cleaned the dust off. Any ideas? undervolting or anything?

    Hi @KNYPEK,

Have you ever thought about the possibility of installing a Cooler Base / Laptop Cooling for your Nitro 5?

It's time to say "goodbye" to the Acer Community. I'll be ending my participation soon. Thank you all! 👋😉

Although 90°C. is normal under heavy load (CPU can sustain 100°C.), as suggested above, a powerful 5-fan cooling pad with the same size as your laptop would help a lot to mitigate high temperatures. Another trick is to reduce the processor maximum power state, on power, from 100% to 95% in Advanced Power settings (Power Plan) and use the Balanced Power Plan instead of (Ultra) High Power Plan.

Mine started doing the same thing, and it is affecting the battery and ac adapter as well. I got it for Christmas last year and it only did it on one game, but then it happened on my other games too.
