an515 42 while gaming it is lagging and stuttering periodically. Please help.

My laptop is working fine and fast. But while gaming it is lagging and stuttering periodically. I have tried updating every version of GPU drivers the same thing happening. Can someone help me to fix this. My laptop model is Acer nitro 5 an515 42 with AMD Ryzen 5 2500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.00 GHz processor. My GPU is - APU1AMD Radeon(TM) Vega 8 Graphics Primary/Integrated/Hybrid. GPU2 Radeon RX 560X Series Discrete/Hybrid.

Please help me to resolve this.

Upgrade the RAM to 32GB max total and run the Crucial System Scan for your Acer Nitro 5 AN515-42 RAM & SSD Upgrades as you can run 2x 16GB DDR3200Mhz CL22 type ram modules and also make sure that the bios is the Version: 1.18 and also run the quickest M.2 drives for your boot drive which should be a PCIe 3 x2 or a PCIe 3x 4 (yif you cant get the PCIe 3x4 and not an SATA IIIM.2) as that will also increase the speed that your laptop will work at within gaming. Doing all the above will improve all the periodic lagging and stuttering of your laptop as lagging and stuttering is not only because of the cpu or gpu and having 2x ram modules which work in dual channel also improves gaming performance considerably.

I came across the same issue as you for a year now(with the same laptop version ACER Nitro 5 AN515-42), then i ordered a liquid thermal paste that arrived yesterday. After cleaning and repasting the processor and gpu socket, the problem is now gone. I also went and did every tutorial out there to fix that lag and sudden fps drop/fluctuation, but nothing works, so try out the liquid thermal paste, it may also help you.😁

p.s:- watch tutorial on how to apply liquid thermal paste, it is a very dangerous substance, so you better have the knowledge in applying it.
