KA242Y monitor Audio issue (I realize that there is no speaker)

I just bought a KA242Y monitor and when I connect it to my desktop computer with the hdmi cable that came with it, I cannot hear any sound (I realize that there is no speaker), but when I connect it to my work laptop I can hear audio through the laptop speaker, any idea why this is?

    On your desktop, what is selected as the output device for audio.
