I am using Acer Aspire 3 A315-53-P4MY laptop and have connected it to an external monitor via hdmi cable. Everytime I need to open the lid of the laptop and press the power button to turn it ON. Is there a way to switch it on from external keyboard connected to the laptop?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Naveen Venkatesan.

Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Under 'When I close the lid' select 'do nothing' in the dropdown options.

Sorry, can't be done without undocumented power board modifications to accept remote signals. However, you can put the laptop in very low power sleep mode. But not in completely off mode.
