Acer Nitro AN 517-51 charger gets extremely hot when charging.

I have an Acer Nitro AN 517-51 Laptop and I know there is a sticker on the charger that says Caution gets hot, but I am concerned it is possibly getting too hot. When gaming I often have to have the laptop plugged in , as it dies fairly quickly. I am not sure if this is normal or not. I saw something online that said to listen to the charging cable and you hear strange noise coming from it , that it may be a sign of an issue with the charger and I may need to replace it. I know not to believe everything I read online, so before I went ahead and purchased a new charger, I wanted to see if anyone on here may be able to help me with an answer to this question, or to possibly find a solution if it shouldn't be getting that hot. There are 180 Watt and 135-Watt power adapters for the Acer Nitro AN 517-51/54, the 180 Watt will get really hot when charging a battery that is almost depleted. make sure your battery is fully charged, then plug-in the adapter and start gaming, never unplug your adapter only when doing routine work and internet browsing with Edge (uses the least battery power). When you first drain the battery while gaming and then plug-in the adapter it has to work twice as hard to fast charge your depleted battery and also power the gaming system, sure the adapter will get red hot then.

All chargers get hot, the bigger their output is the hotter they get, your Nitro 7 AN517-51 has provide allot of power to your 17" laptop hence and why it gets hot. Thes chargers need to be kept in an open space and a well-ventilated space. If they get hot to touch, that is normal, don’t worry as the adaptor is designed to withstand these temps. Only replace an adaptor if its fuse keeps turning the charger/adaptor off and its not working, also make sure that the laptop is noyt tripping the fuse of the charger/adaptor as that is aloo a cause of these adaptors getting hot, as an adaptor has a safety fuse to protect your laptop from getting damaged and the charger/adaptor from getting hot and being a fire hazard.
