Hello everyone,

so I just ordered a Studio Display from Apple and I need to connect it with a Thunderbolt USB C for it to fully work (speakers..), with my Predator Orion 3000.

So a question is, firstly, do I have a Thunderbolt on my P03-630? And second, if I don’t have it, how do I install Thunderbolt PCIe? Is it possible?

How can I use my Studio Display now? Even if the speakers and camera don’t work, how can I get picture from my P03-630 with RTX 3070 to show up on Studio Display?

Thank you so much.

The short answer is no, you only have one PCIe port and that's being used by your GPU. The USB-C ports aren't TBT, so you are out of luck there as well. :( I know of no options to take video ports and convert them to thunderbolt… Can you cancel the order and get a more standard monitor instead of one so Mac centric?

Thank you for such fast answer. Too bad:(

I tried AOC 24“ 165Hz monitor, MSI Ultra Wide 34“ both for 2 weeks and my eyes are extremely strained from them both.

I tend to have eye problems (strains, headache) from most matte finished monitors except LG it seems, and I dislike matte finish so only glossy monitor available is from Apple. I also have everything from Apple (MacBook Pro, iPhone, iPad Pro etc.) so it was a no brainer buy now.

I ordered bi-directional DP to USB-C from Amazon and Belkin Charge & Sync from China (only cable capable to make Studio Display fully functional with Windows (speakers, camera..). So i hope one of them will do the trick:)

Yeah, the more common eye strain issue is with reflection on the glassy monitor instead of with the matte screens. :(
