What Aspire 7 exact model do you have, it should be something like A715-XX-XXXX, as Aspire 7 is not an Acer dedicated gaming laptop, the gaming laptops from Acer are either the Nitro or Predator laptops range. If you are trying to play hard core games on this laptop, the laptop will overheat, and the battery will be overextending also. Be very careful as if the Aspire 7 battery overheats too much, the laptop needs cooling down as the battery can explode if it overeats beyond its limit. Just as an example, have a look at the difference btween the Aspire laptops Thermal units and the Acer gaming laptops that the Nitro 5 and Predator laptops have.

This is an Aspire 5s A515-57 Thermal module cpu/gpu cooling

This is a Nitro laptop Thermal module cpu/gpu cooling

This is the New Predator PHN16-71 laptops Thermal module cpu/gpu cooling

The power supply is 65 Watt and the power adapter will get hot during fast charging a drained battery. Don't play games on battery only your GPU(s) consumes a lot of power. Don't use High or Ultra High Performance Power Plans but use the Balanced plan. If the laptop gets hot in a poorly ventilated room consider buying a good cooling pad,
