Very hot processor. In games stably keeps91-92 degrees Celsius. And the video card heats up to 90. Is it really normal for this model and nothing can be done without loss of performance and harm to the laptop?

The Acer gaming laptops like the Nitro 5AN517-41-R2DV laptops with the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H/TDP 45W/Max Operating Temps (Tjmax) 105°C and its NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 are designed to run hot in gaming momentarily but not all the time, this laptop is designed for its CPU P-State Max/2 at 95°C; PROCHOT at 99°C temps and the OS shut down at 105°C to where its AMD CPU temps limits are, so the laptop running at 90°C is acceptable as you will find that if it reaches 100°C your laptop will turn off.

You didn’t state under what conditions the 90°C happen but that temp is normal. Try to make sure that the laptop is under a laptop cooling tablet that is pumping fresh air under your laptop, also make sure that the laptops fans and vents are clean and the CPU/GPU is pasted with the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme or the Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal thermal compound, but with the liquid metal paste you need to be very careful as this paste is VERY dangerous if applied incorrectly as it can damage your laptops motherboard chips if applied too thickly and it leaks oto the surrounding chips of the motherboard, as liquid metal paste is conductive and will short the motherboard!

You also need a high end V-Core Chips pad paste to be applied to the V-Core chips, like the FUJIPLOY XR-e GPU Thermal Pad Paste (that Acer uses), as all these things will help to reduce laptop temps. Don’t try to under volt the CPU as the AMD-5800H CPUs performance reduces considerably if you do that.

There is a solution! While under volting isn’t possible, you can reduce watts supplied to the APU. Reducing watts will impact performance so some fine tuning is required. However, each APU has a sweet spot.

    Try this  https://amdaputuningutility.com/

    • It's a new Ryzen APU tuning utility created by one of the developers of Ryzen Controller.

    • It's a little lightweight Ryzen Master for laptops that allows you to control the power limits of your APU.

    • Works best on 2xxx, 3xxx, 4xxx and 5xxx series Ryzen Mobile and can also work on Desktop APUs.
