Nitro N50-620 2x short beep at Acer boot logo

Hi,

I suddenly have the problem on my Nitro N50-620 that at boot time, it beeps 2 times at the Acer boot logo, and then freezes. I can’t enter the BIOS anymore, and I can’t switch to the boot menu, or boot up any operating system.

I already exchanged the main board battery, I reset the CMOS with the jumper, I checked the RAM and the graphics card - everything seems to be fine.

I think it’s a I/O parity error, but in case it is: Can I fix this on my own, or do I have to send it to repair?

Any other suggestions what it could be?

Thanks,

Thomas

You are correct the POST failed:

    2 short beep

    Parity circuit failure.

DDR4 is a common issue, see if you can get another 1 x 4GB DDR4 module to try, or take the 2 modules out and clean the contacts with a soft pencil eraser. If after all you tried already still does not work, bring the desktop to Acer Services in your country for repairs.

Actually your model has different beep codes than you are expecting:

So a CMOS reset should get your back to working.
