I own an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55 2020 model, have been using it for more than 2 years. The laptop developed overheating issues from last year. There were fps drops in CPU intensive games like Valorant, when playing on high performance mode, so I had to play on balanced mode, but even then the temps were 90C+. Some earlier post related to this topic suggested repasting and cleaning. Last month, I had the laptop repasted ( some Cooler Master thermal paste) and cleaned twice and even got the fans changed (the old ones got damaged, probably due to dust and dirt); after that the temps on balanced mode dropped to 70C+, but on high performance mode the temps were 89-92C. The room temperature is 35C+.Is it normal? If not then how can I fix this?

My laptop can reach those temps while on high performance, but it really depends on the surface its on. So i use a cooler and it drops the temps minimally. I don't know if it's just me, but it might be normal if you're really pushing the machine, and that room temperature to me is hotter than my country room temperature at the moment.

It is strange through that on balance, or acer mode that your temps reach 90+. This setting usually takes my temps down to 65-70. Make sure performance boost mode is disabled on balance or acer power mode in battery settings, and you cap your fps to screen refresh rate.
