I have a laptop aspire a315

I request your help since I'm facing the issue of 'no bootable device.' I searched for solutions on the internet, and some suggested that entering the BIOS and changing the UEFI mode to legacy mode would solve it. However, when I tried it, the legacy mode didn't appear. I decided to buy an SSD to replace the hard drive, thinking that it might be the problem, but the issue persists. I updated the BIOS, hoping that would fix it, but after trying again, the problem remains, showing the 'no bootable device' error. I don't know what else to do since none of the solutions I've come across have worked for me.

The first thing that you do when you get the "NO Bootable Drive" is do these steps, follow this guide here "6 Methods to Fix No Bootable Device on Windows 11, 10, 8, 7" if all this does not fix the problem its because 95% of the time, your old drive is faulty, and its data can't be read by your Aspire A315 laptop.

What is the exact Aspire A315 laptop model number? As and if you buy a new SSD drive, then you need to boot your laptop with the Windows OS Installation USB and then install windows onto this new SSD drive, as in this install process, the SSD drive will be formatted and you also need to install the Aspire A315-XX models IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver to be able to format the new SSD boot drive, as then the boot drive will be recognized by your laptop. Try all these steps and let us know how you go.

There is no legacy Mode anymore in modern UEFI (BIOS) firmware, that is for the older MBR bootloaders.

A new SSD needs to be first initialized in Disk Manager as GPT, New Simple Volume with a drive letter. If the problem happened with your old boot HDD/SSD, it could mean you changed your SATA mode in BIOS (from RST to AHCI), if so enter BIOS with F2 key and check the SATA mode (may need Ctrl+S). If you never changed anything in BIOS iI believe your Boot volume has been deleted or corrupted by trying to "Reset this PC" in Windows or by system crashes (bad drivers). I recommend that you bring/send your laptop to Acer Services in your country to reset your laptop to factory defaults, Acer normally charges a small service fee for that ($25 in the Philippines).
