Hi,

I have an aging Aspire 7730 with a damaged key that I want to transpose from a spare keyboard but have forgotten how these fiddly things are removed without damaging them, any ideas?

The key being replaced has a damaged hinge and it just flops about.

Thanks.

There are no guides from Acer of how the keys are assembled or which parts go where, you need to find the guides on the web on which type of keys the Aspire 7730 keyboard has or buy a new Aspire 7730 keyboard that can be purchased on eBay or Amazon and replace your old keyboard, as a new keyboard for such an old laptop is the best way to go.

New Aspire 7730 on ebay at US $13.08

And if you really aren't into it that much, the keys should just pull straight up…
