predator helios 300 - 315-55 unable to download NVIDIA drivers. Please help

when i opened acer website i think i downloaded old frimware for my rtx by fault.
now i cant make my rtx work.
my whole laptop stopped working and i reinstall windows so it worked again.

but i cant download any nividia drivers. when i download it the whole laptop freeze and i get blue screen of windows error : watchdog_timeout i think.
and if it downloaded the screen is not showing anything so i should reinstall windows.
if anyone can help me plz. this laptop is new i just got it 4 months ago

yeah sure
at the beginning my brother got the same laptop, so my problem was about VBIOS Version. it was causing freeze and blue screen when i install Nvidia drivers.

to fix it i told my brother to download GPU-Z on his laptop (the working one)
and then there was a smale share button when i pressed on it i saved his VBIOS version.
and then i got his VBIOS and installed it on my laptop using nvflash. i watched youtube tutorial so i could know how can i install VBIOS, after i installed it i restarted the laptop and my Nvidia started to work again.

small advice if ur nvidia is working well dont go to any firmware.
because it cant be fixed easly. and you should get the correct version of VBIOS to work

Try to first uninstall all the NVidia previous drivers with DUU uninstaller software, and then install the latest Win-11 GeForce Game Ready Driver Version: 531.79 WHQL and also make sure that you have all the Win-11 Updates and install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and have all the latest Intel graphics and other Win-11 drivers up to date and see if your laptop works properley, as that firmware should work 100% with your RTX3060

Note: If your Predator Helios 300 PH315-55-xxxx is only 4 month old and that firmware update has done that to your RTX3060 GPU, then its covered under Acer warranty, don't do anything to your laptop, don't open it or damage it, Go to the Acer Support site in your country and book a service call for your laptop and get the Acer technicians to fix this GPU problem for you. If a GPU gets faulty because of a firmware update only an expert tech can fix your laptop, as they need to roll back the firmware to the RTX3060s default firmware or change the motherboard if the GPU is faulty, as no new NVidia driver will fix a GPUs firmware problem .

Btw, an Acer firmware for the RTX3060 does not do what you have described above, there must be something else wrong with your laptop, as Acer specifically lists their GPU firmware's for a specific laptop and its GPU and they all work 100% without any issues. you must have done this "Update VBIOS NVVDD EDPc setting change from 90A to 135A GeForce RTX 3060 VBIOS ver: 94.06.36.00.62 or 94.06.36.00.61 Version: 1.02a" wrongly as this firmware is ONLY for the RTX3060 GPUs, if your laptop has a different RTX30XX model then you should not have updated to this firmware update.

could we grab the full model number / part number , manufacture number is something like Manufacturer Part NumberNH.QGPEK.001 and part number usually has a bit extra after the PH515-55-???? :)

my laptop is rtx3060 and i did the ddu before but without having all intel updates.
the warnty will take at least month for me because it is in a different country.

btw when i install predator sense it don't work or install

i will retry the ddu prosses with intel updated.
but i hope the windows dont crash and i dont re install it again

and how can i get the original windows that came with the labtop ?

i did the windows from external flash memory.
because windows restore wanst working well

I recommend that you bring/send your laptop to your retailer or to Acer Services in your country for a complete reinstall (factory default) of OEM Windows and Acer drivers/apps. There may be a service charge of $25 plus shipping costs.

Don't worry about the original Win-11 Acer OS as the Acer Win-11 OS is no different to the Microsoft OS it only has some additional apps and the Acer Care Centre and Predator Sense. So for a warranty you don't need the Acer OEM Win-11 OS.

Don't worry about the DDU as when you install the new RTX3060 NVidia Game Ready Driver Version: 531.79 WHQL, you have the Advanced option of doing a Clean Install of this driver, which completely uninstalls all NVidia previous drivers, so do that.

I think that you haven't set this laptops OS up properly when you reinstalled Win-11 as its either got some errors or you haven't installed all the drivers, which are causing the laptop to freeze. Do the Win-11 Clean Install again, make sure that you do this:

On the Win-11 installation USB, make sure that you have the PH315-55 laptops unzipped "IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver version 19.1.0.1001" so that when you get to the Win-11 installation section of "Where do you want to install Window?" you Delete all the partitions first from the boot drive and then install the IRST driver and then Format the M.2 SSD boot drive then install Win-11, do this as this will install a clean and complete version of Win-11, then and after make sure that you download all the Win-11 updates, install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and then update the NVidia Win-11 GeForce Game Ready Driver Version: 531.79 WHQL and to this drivers Clean install option. Doing all this should make your laptop work 100% and properly, as the Acer firmware is NOT the cause of your laptops freezing faults.

You should be able to drop into safe mode by using the "change advanced start up options" from the start bar rather than using shift and reset

I am so confused rn.

I reinstalled win 11 after the update the whole computer is freezed and I can't reopen the computer without reinstalling windows.

I dont know is this freeze because the gpu or what but yesterday when i was installing Nvidia drivers the whole labtop freezes and i get blue screen clock_

so at the moment, you have windows installed, but it never loads, or it crashes straight away is that correct?

If so you will need to re-reinstall windows , you should be able to hit either f2 f10 or f12 to sleect the boot options, and the n install from a usb stick :)

The Nivida shows in bios but not in device manager when i update the whole laptop freeze and then blue screen

external usb win 11 i tried it like 9 times

it sounds like the flashing of the vBIOS didnt work properly if its not showing at all, if you do a battery reset (either a pin hole on the bottom or holding the power button while off for around 15 seconds) it may junt it back. Failing that you can try fully discharging the battery, and then charging back up to see if that brings it back
