I have a e5-575-72n3 case and want to put a e5-575g motherboard into it. The motherboards for both versions appear to be almost exactly the same and i just want to know if it would work before i buy the motherboard. (I need a motherboard with a gx940 but i can only find it for the 575g and not the 575-72n3

The Aspire A515-72G is the same laptop as the Aspire A515-72 laptop, except that the "G" stands for a dedicated GPU like from NVidia or AMD integrated boards in the Acer range of laptops. The A515-72G mobo will fit into the A515-72 bottom case but not into just any Aspire A515 case, as an example the Aspire A515-54 bottom case size and components and ports are different. Laptops are not like a desktop where their cases are for an mATX, ATX size boards.

As a user, it's essential to ensure compatibility before purchasing a new motherboard. Although the E5-575-72N3 and E5-575G cases may appear similar, it's crucial to verify if the Motherboards from the E5-575G will fit properly. Checking the dimensions and screw hole placements of both cases and motherboards would be helpful in determining compatibility. Additionally, it's worth confirming if the GX940 is a required component for the specific motherboard you intend to purchase.
