XV282KKV shows "No Signal" when connected to a Playstation 4 if the HDMI ports are set to HDMI 2.1

I have a classic (1st gen) PS4 along with a PS5 I'm using with my Acer Nitro XV282KKV 27" 4K monitor. One of the reasons I chose this monitor was for the HDMI 2.1 for use with the PS5. That works fine, but I couldn't get my PS4 to work. With the HDMI ports in 2.1 mode and the PS4 connected, I get a black screen with a blue LED for a short time followed by "No Signal" with an amber LED. The only thing I've found that will fix it is to turn off the HDMI 2.1 mode. But, that applies to all HDMI ports and the PS5 will no longer have HDMI 2.1 support if I turn this off. Anyone else seen this problem and know of a workaround?

Does safe mode or the HDCP settings have any effect?

Thanks for the good ideas, but no luck. Doesn't make a difference. And it's too bad I can't turn off HDMI 2.1 on a per-port basis.
