Mouse Lag/Stutter on Nitro N50-640 This occurs with both the wired mouse and wireless mouse.

My new Nitro N50-640 is experiencing horribly frustrating mouse lag/stutter. This occurs with both the wired mouse that came with the PC as well as my prefered wireless microsoft mouse. It happens whether I'm using 1 monitor or 2. The issue occurs completely randomly and no matter what I'm doing, be it gaming or browsing or word processing. Observationally it appears to worsen the more apps I have open, but that is purely anecdotal and the issue does not disappear when using only a single app. I believe I have all drivers updated etc. This is rendering my PC practically useless.

What apps? Please post a screen shot of Task Mgr processes tab when it's lagging.

It honestly doesn't appear to be app specific. I find it happening when I'm simply browsing on Chrome and have Outlook open, for example. But my kids have it occur when gaming through Steam. And it doesn't happen immediately. For example, right now I'm starting out fresh in the morning and the mouse is working fine. With time this deteriorates. I've noticed that if I return from an absense and reawaken the PC the lag and stutter can be exacerbated. Hard reboot may or may not fix that. I also have a dual monitor setup; not sure if that could complicate things.

Uninstall all your Mice and Pointing devices with Device Manager including these (the 12C HID device is your Touchpad driver):

Check in Services if Elan (or Synaptics) Service is set to automatic start or Manual (trigger start), and in the Startup app. tab Task Manager if there is an Elan (or Synaptics) app. disabled, enable that too.
