How to use my laptop (Acer swift 5) as a monitor for my pc?

My PC's only HDMI port is already in use, so I was hoping to use a display port to USB C cable to connect my laptop to my PC, however when I plugged it in nothing happened. I have also tried using the HDMI port but nothing happened then either. I am currently using window's miracast but it is annoyingly laggy at times. I was wondering if there was some setting I hate to enable or if it is simply not possible.

Other than Miracast or Chromecast, this can usually be done with an HDMI or DisplayPort or DVI or VGA VIDEO CAPTURE-to- USBC or -ThunderBolt converter. Unfortunately, unless you have a very high speed USBC or ThunderBolt port, you will be faced with the same kind of lag at higher resolutions and refresh rates. Furthermore, a high quality VIDEO CAPTURE CONVERTER might cost as much as or even more than a dedicated monitor and still not perform as well. Using a laptop as a monitor is usually not too practical. Sorry.
