I have an Acer Aspire E15 laptop. I´ve had external speakers with subwoofer (Plexgear Multi-media speaker system 2.1) connected for years working just fine. Suddenly no sound is coming out from the external speakers. I get sound from the laptop monitor speakers though. I have checked all the cables/connections and looked for updated drivers , which there were none. Does anyone have a clue why this can suddenly happen, and what to do about it?🤓

Try to check the sound icon on the bottom right corner of taskbar . Right click on it - open volume mixer - Try to chose external speakers

Go to sound settings - Check the outbound device. It should be external speakers

click on start - settings - system – sound – You will see  chose your output and input device
On the " chose your output device "  - chose headset or speakers as you desire..

Try to unplug and plug the external speakers and check. Unplug the external speaker. Restart the computer. Connect the speaker now and check it.

    Try windows x
Go to device manager - Go to sound video and game controllers. Expand it
Uninstall the sound driver from device manager.  Please uninstall all the items below the sound video and game controllers. Restart the computer. It should work fine..

If it is still not working
Uninstall the sound driver from device manager
    Dont restart the computer.
    Go to support.acer.com
    chose your country
type snid or chose your model
    go to drivers
    Install the sound driver

    It should work fine..
