Hi

just reinstalled my Aspire V3-772G from scratch and all whend well exept for 1 device. {36fc9e60-c465-11cf-8056-444553540000} is marked as "unknownd usb device request for devicedescriptor has failed" (translated text from dutch)

I still have all the files in a vdhx file but when I let Windows 10 search for it nothing is found.

How can I identify and reinstall the driver? I have installed the 6 drivers on the acer website.

These problems are because you haven’t got all the V3-772Gs oem driver that windows couldn’t install installed, check the Acer Divers & Manuals for these drivers. Or if you can’t find an appropriate driver from there, then go to Device Manager and where your see the USB that has an exclamation mark, and its missing a driver do this:

Right click Properties > Driver > Update driver > Browse my computer for driver > Let me pick from a list of available driver on my computer…

Refresh the driver that is there, if after reboot it come back again then delete this device completely. If there is no driver there then delete this device from Device Manager USB section completely also, as and after a reboot it should not come back as a missing driver for your laptop, as this USB driver is not a part of your laptop.

    Run the Windows10 Devices Troubleshooter:

    https://www.thewindowsclub.com/troubleshoot-fix-windows-hardware-devices-problems-troubleshooter

Uninstall the unknown device in Device Manager (check also Hidden Devices), if no change after reboot uninstall that USB device in Safe Mode (Shift+Shutdown to start in Safe Mode). If still no luck uninstall all (3?) USB Universal Serial Bus controllers, reboot and let Windows reinstall the latest USB drivers.

    Nog een hollander😉

Like I wrote: There are 6 drivers on the site. Installed them all :)

I had already removed the device about 10 times. however now after 1 more I see that the device is recognized. So all i had to do was waiting a little bit longer. :)

    Thanks both for helping
