    Hello!!

    @Stayos

I understand you say "I just had a problem to turn on the laptop. I

If you face the same issue again, kindly follow the steps given below

Please disconnect all the external peripherals from the laptop.    Unplug all the cables including the power cable from the laptop.   Wait for few mins and then plug all the cables back.   It should start to work.

Doing the power drain and bios defaults will really help.  Kindly follow the steps given below:

Turn off the laptop. Disconnect or unplug the charger cable, devices or any other cables connected to your laptop. Close your laptop. Turn it upside down.  On the bottom of the laptop, you can find a  pin hole. It is a tiny hole. You can a find a battery symbol indicator next to the hole. It is like a + and – sign symbol as though somebody is trying to shift the battery out. Insert the pin on to the hole for 30 seconds. Remove the pin. Flip the laptop. Connect the charger cable, turn on the computer.  Only on laptops where the battery is inbuilt you can find the battery reset hole on the back of laptop.

If you don’t see a reset pin hole on the back of laptop or if you are not able to remove the battery (if it is inbuilt) then please unplug all the cables and devices out of laptop.   Hold the power button for 1 minute.  After releasing the button you should wait a while before plugging in power. Just because the button has been pressed doesn’t bleed off all the residual electricity on the motherboard. Wait 15-30 minutes before plugging in power. Then once power is connected wait for a full battery indication before turning the system on. That allows the battery to fully reset it’s internal statistics.

Connect all the cables back and restart the computer.

While turning on the computer, tap f2. It will go to bios. Press f9 once. It will show load bios defaults with a yes or no popup. Press enter. Popup screen will disappear.  Press f10 once. It will show save changes popup with yes or no. Press enter. Computer will restart and it will load into windows.

It might also be the issue with battery, charger or power outlet.   Try to use the charger in a different room on a different power outlet.  Try to bypass the surge protector and connect it directly to power outlet.    Try to use an alternative charger if possible.    Try to turn on the computer without the charger and check it  ( as long as the battery is not drained out )

    Try windows x

go to device manager expand Battery

right click on all the items below battery – uninstall

    Restart the computer

    It should work fine.

    Regards,

You wrote: "i tried charging it on a different power port" does your laptop model support Thunderbolt (2019 models don't). Did you update your firmware/BIOS or did you buy the laptop recently?

This could be a high temperature shutdown, although the absence of the charging light indicates a battery failure.

If none of the battery resets suggested above work bring/send the laptop to Acer Services for checking.

Just in addition to all the advice above, as I’ve had this problem many times with laptops especially with a Nitro gaming laptop. As the simplest fix is to do a Hard Reset (its not the only solution if other components are affected, so be aware of that also) so do this first, take the back cover off, take the main battery completely out and disconnect the bios battery and take the ram modules out, leave all components disconnected for about 15min and reconnect battery and plug the bios battery back in, insert only 1x ram module (if you have 2x ram modules fitted) and reboot the laptop, this symptom manly happens because of either a Super IO or a bios chip freeze and this hard reset resets these chips and your laptop should reboot perfectly.

If all the above does not fix your boot problem then its an internal 3.3 or 5v issue at the power stage of your laptop where a capacitor, filter or at worse a mosat has shorted out but, if its a mosat that is on either the cpu or gpu trace it can be a drastic fault (if you are really unlucky, so just hope that it didn’t happen) as these mosats allow an appropriate voltage for the cpu/gpu to operate appropriately and protect your cpu/gpu from a high voltage blowing these components out, and in a worst case scenario (which is rare but does happen to any laptop new or old) will can happen and if it does, then a high voltage will blow the cou/gpu that is beyond repair and it will mean that you will need to replace the motherboard, hope it didn’t happen to your laptop, so to have all these issues analysed you will need to take your laptop to a technician that has all the tools to analyse your laptop if its just a capacitor, filter or its something more drastic, as a tech can determine exactly what is wrong with your laptop. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your Predator Helios 300 laptop. It sounds like you have already tried some troubleshooting steps, such as unplugging and plugging in the power cord and holding down the power button.

If the charging light isn't turning on when you plug in the laptop, it may be an issue with the power cord or the battery itself. You could try using a different power cord or adapter to see if that resolves the issue. Additionally, you could try removing the battery and then reinserting it, making sure that it is securely in place.

If none of these steps work, it may be best to contact the manufacturer or a professional repair service to diagnose and fix the issue. They may be able to provide more specific guidance based on the exact nature of the problem.
