I am losing my mind and, as you all probably know, acer support on second-hand/off-warranty items is a scam.
I bought a second hand Acer Spin 13, it had Windows 11 on it and it doesn't support the Wacom Pen, at least I cant seam to find a way to get it to work.
Since I have also never had/used a ChromeOS device, I figured I would just reinstall ChromeOS.
I used ChromBook Recovery Utility to create recovery USB, insert, restart, hit ESC and choose to boot from USB, pops up a grub boot loader, with 5 options: 2 appear to be the Windows Boot EFI records, and 2 are supposed to be "approved" images, and the 5th is some sort of optional USB boot that does nothing.
All the first 4 options go to a blank screen with a still curser in the upper left corner and do nothing except heat up the processor and the fan doesn't spin so the longest I've waited is about 15 min, the 5th gives a "couldn't find boot device, press any key to continue" error, and returns to the first menu.
I have succesfully installed Garuda Linux instead of Windows. But I would still like to return it CheomeOS for the pen support.
Thanks In advance for the assistance.
