What to do with Acer 721T Chromebooks with number key issues

I am sitting next to a pile of Acer 721T Chromebooks where some of the number keys do not work. Furthermore, the back corner screws come loose and break so the hinge doesn't work well. What is a fix for all of these devices. I have had to replace 45 in the last 4 months.

Sounds like those who are using them need instructions on how to less-vigorously bang the keys and more-gently open/close the lid. These chromebook are of consumer-grade plastic construction, not commercial ruggedized units with metal cases. Sorry, sounds like physical damage that might not be covered even if still under warranty. Contact your support people from Acer about the issue with the keyboard. I believe they have been doing some extended warranty with the keyboards on a case by case basis. Not much that can be done about the hinges pulling loose, as Jack suggests that's due to the user opening and closing them abruptly or via a twist and the screws just pull loose. Short of a case replacement the fix is to rebuild the screw mounts with epoxy and that's a hassle for multiple machines.

Thank you. That seems like the best course of action.

Thank you for your input. You are mistaken. These are not mishandled devices. There is a know issue with which many people have had problems. I was hoping someone on this forum had a fix for the issue. Resetting the keyboard ribbon works for a short time. But it is not a long term fix.

From what I understand the fixes they've been doing at the service centers have involved keyboard replacements…
