Hey,
I've Acer aspire vero 14'' laptop, and I would like to disable touchpad acceleration so that the mouse will move the same distance no matter how fast I move it.
I've tried disabling the enhanced pointer percision in the mouse properties. Also, I don't know if there's a driver that I may need to be updated or if it's being updated by window 11 automatically.

    Hello!!

    @Piposh

    To disable touchpad acceleration on your Acer Aspire Vero 14" laptop, you can follow these steps:

    1.Open the Start menu and search for "Mouse settings".

    2, Then Click on "Additional mouse options" under the Related settings section.

    3.In the Mouse Properties window, click on the "Pointer Options" tab.

    4.Under the Motion section, uncheck the box next to "Enhance pointer precision".

    5.Click on "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes.

    This should disable touchpad acceleration on your laptop, so that your mouse will move the same distance no matter how fast you move it.

    Regarding the driver updates, Windows 11 may automatically update your touchpad driver if it detects that a new version is available. However, you can also check for driver updates manually by going to the Device Manager, finding the touchpad device, and selecting "Update driver".

    Unfortunately, the touchpad seems unaffected and still using acceleration. As I've stated alread that I've tried unchecking the " Enchanted pointer precision" box, but I'm still experiencing mouse acceleration. I know that It's still there because when I move the mouse from one side of the screen to the other slowly, from one side of the touchpad to the other, my finger goes about 5/6 of the width of the touchpad when the mouse reaches the other side of the screen, but when I'm moving my finger fast on the touchpad from one side to the other, my finger goes less than half the touchpad width before the mouse reaches the other side of the screen.

    This is why I'm asking if there may be a driver issue or maybe even a hardware issue with the touchpad. If windows 11 updates automatically all of the necessary drivers, then it's maybe the limitation of the touchpad itself.

    I must say that this isn't such a big deal for me. The touchpad works great overall, and I can always buy a wireless mouse to avoid using the touchpad at all. This was my intention from the first place as the mouse gives you more precision and control, performing tasks more accurately.

    Best regardes,
