Aspire 5 N20C5 running Windows 11 does not power on when lid opened

When I open the lid of my Aspire 5 laptop (model N20C5) running Windows 11, it does not power on. I have to hit the power button. When I go into Control Panel > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings > Change advanced power settings, there are no lid options to control the lid. From the Control Panel, there is an option to "Change what closing the lid does" but none for when the lid opens. There are lots of video that say running "powercfg -attributes SUB_BUTTONS 99ff10e7-23b1-4c07-a9d1-5c3206d741b4 -ATTRIB_HIDE" adds the "Power buttons and lid" command to "Change advanced power settings" but its not working for me.

The "Lid open action" is a feature built into many of today's laptops that automatically opens the screen when you open the lid, eliminating the need to press the power button. Due to hardware limitations and driver restrictions, not all laptops support this feature, and not all users like it. After all, we may sometimes just want to clean the screen or accidentally open the lid rather than actually starting the computer. I have a 2020 Aspire5 a515-54G with W11 22H2 and do not have this 'Lid Open Action" in my Advanced Power Plan. Your model is from the same year 2019-20 so I don't believe you have this power feature but you can reset your power plan to default with all options. Type this line in the Command Prompt:powercfg -restoredefaultschemes​
