I recently sent my laptop to the Acer Repair facilities to be repaired under warrenty. When it was shipped back to me the repair report stated that the system had passed extensive tests and that they were unable to duplicate the reported issues. Within ten minutes of using it I was experienceing the issues I had reported.
The problem: The screen will freeze at random times and any audio playing at the time will become a screeching buzz. Occasionally the screen will go completely black or display colored pixel noise.
My local IT guy said that the motherboard or one of it's components was going out. What I want to know is why, if my local IT guy could pinpoint the issue, the blokes up at acer could not and why I am still having the problem.
