Hi, my previous device is aspire vx5-591g. Current device is Nitro 5 AN515-46. That device had dolby atmos. But the current device has dts and I don't want that. Because there is a huge difference in sound between them. Or maybe I couldn't adjust the settings, I don't know. When I installed the sound driver on my old device, dolby came installed with it. I was just activating Dolby atmosphere and I could tell the difference. I was using my speaker volume between 25%-35% and it was fine. Even though dts sound unbound is active when I use it at the same levels on the current device, the sound is extremely low. I don't know if the problem is with dts or if the volume of my device is generally insufficient. I'm wondering if I can install dolby atmos on my current device.

The Acer Nitro 5 AN515-46 laptop comes with Dolby Audio built-in. However, if you're having issues with the audio or you need to reinstall Dolby Audio, you can follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Acer support website and download the latest audio driver for your laptop model.
    2. Once the driver is downloaded, extract the files to a folder on your desktop.
    3. Open the folder and look for the "DolbyAudio" folder.
    4. Inside the "DolbyAudio" folder, look for the "DolbyDigitalPlus" folder and open it.
    5. Double-click the "setup.exe" file to install Dolby Audio on your system.
    6. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process.
    7. Once the installation is complete, restart your computer.

After the restart, you should be able to use Dolby Audio on your Acer Nitro 5 AN515-46 laptop. If you still have issues with the audio or Dolby Audio, you may need to contact Acer support for further assistance.

    Hello!!

    @warofthe

The solution for your problem with Dolby Audio in any version:

    1. Go to
    2. Search Intel® Driver & Support Assistant
    3. Download the utility, install & run it. Utility will scan your device, and if it found new versions of drivers, you can install it.
    4. Install new versions of drivers, reset your notebook.
    5. Dolby should work again. PROFIT.

I got the same problem with my Nitro 5 AN 515-31, but after updating Intel drivers Dolby started to work again. Just do not forget to upgrade your drivers properly. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/

    or

    It's easy to install
    1. Install Realtek driver from acer support website
    2. After finish install please locate dolby setup at C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\Audio\DAX2
should be install API first (dax2_api_release_x64.msi)
    then install APP second (dax2_app_release_x64.msi)
    3. Successful INSTALL!!!

I installed Intel® Driver & Support Assistant but all drivers are up to date. I downloaded the sound driver from the laptop driver page, but unfortunately there is no dolby in it. There is only for dts and it is already installed. But what I want is to install dolby not dts

You don't have dolby atmos because acer didn't pay for it for your specific laptop model. Acer doesn't own dolby, Microsoft doesn't own dolby and Realtek doesn't own Dolby —- but dolby needs to be paid. So there is no way to install dolby atmos on your laptop. The Microsoft store dolby atmos is for headphones so it wouldn't improve your laptop speaker sound.

Intel's realtek audio driver is for Intel NUC computers, not acer computers

Your old acer laptop was 1 lb heavier and 1 inch wider than your new laptop —- so acer has to put in a smaller pair of speakers in a smaller laptop. That's it. So turn up the volume.
