So I just got the

Acer Predator Orion 3000 PO3-640-EC01 with an i5-12400F and RTX 3060

It was a great price but was curious what options there are for upgrading the CPU?

I'm kind of new at this in terms of possibly swapping parts so was curious what CPU could I upgrade to and also if it's an easy thing to do

Thanks for any

This model should also support the I7-12700F cpu. Realworld performance relative to the i5-12400F depends on what apps, programs games you use it for. Here's a link to the comparison.

it's pretty easy to change. If you don't have the user manual to do so, you can download it from this link. It describes various upgrade procedures pretty well. You'll need screw drivers. 😊

A CPU upgrade is typically the last thing you might do to eke a little more life out of an old system. You aren't nearly at that stage yet. :) If I remember right, your system is one they made for Costco and includes a 1TB SSD and 16GB of memory. Likely upgrades, in order of effect, are more memory (best bang for the buck is to add two more 8GB 3200 DDR4 modules (not XMP) to take you to 32GB); Better cooling (look for the threads here on the Noctua coolers); more storage (another 1TB SSD or a 2TB SSD (M.2 2280 NVMe x4 drive); a better GPU (wait for the 5060 in a couple of years) and finally a CPU upgrade to the i9-12900F.
