Acer Aspire V3-571G. Previously, there was one 4 GB stick in the second slot. Bought 2 sticks of 8 GB. The system sees only 8 GB. I removed the bar in the second slot, left it only on the first one. The laptop does not display an image.

    Hi @Ainaz

Web laptop reviews report a maximum of up to 8GB RAM for your model, so buy another 4GB DDR like the one that was in slot 2 (exactly the same speed, capacity and brand) and you will have 8GB RAM and double your original speed (Dual Channel).😉

This is an older Windows8 laptop with 2x 4GB DDR3 modules (note not the smaller DDR4)🤨

    “Memory slots2x SO-DIMMMaximum internal memory *8 GB”

    Specs.

Just in addition and some advice to you Ainaz, I've got the same Aspire V3-571G laptop and have had this laptop since new, its the i7-3610QM CPU and with the NVidia GTX 640M graphics, the laptop that I bought was one of the first Aspire V3-571G that Acer released as it didn't even have the UEFI BIOS and I had to upgrade and mod the BIOS to support the UEFI BIOS and to be able to run the GUID (GPT) format drives, and the last BIOS version 2.21 so I know these laptop inside out as I've disassembled this laptop many times and fixed many issues, like its hinges, changed the bottom case and its top case and its keyboard and repasted the cpu and gpu etc etc so I know what I'm talking about😁

The best thing that you can do to have FASTER RAM for this laptop is to upgrade the RAM to 8GB at 2x DDR3-1866Mhz SK Hynix RAM modules as it works and runs perfectly at 1800MHz speed in Win-10 Pro Task Manager, Intel suggests that the i7-3610QM can run up to 32GB DDR3/L/-RS 1333/1600, but that is not supported by the V3-571G BIOS and mobo.

The Crucial suggested Aspire V3-571G max suggested 16GB RAM IS WRONG and its wrongly suggested on their site, at Acer Aspire V3-571G RAM & SSD Upgrades that states the Maximum memory:16GB, Crucial use to have 8GB DDR3-1600Mhz modules on that page but NOW they only suggest their 4GB DDR3-1600 • CL=11 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 204-pin • 1.35V • 2Rx8 • PC3-12800 type ram modules, as the 8GB DDR3-1600Mhz that they suggested before don’t work and users must have complained, I still don’t know why they still have a Max of 16GB for the V3-571G as its misleading?
