how do i make the series x work with the xb272. the monitor only offers enough bandwidth via display port and the benefi dp to hdmi adapter only delivered 60h. i need it to deliver the maximum potential of the console which is 120hz

Your adapter probably does not support converting a 120Hz HDMI signal output to a 120Hz DisplayPort signal output. Google search the keyworkds “HDMI to DisplayPort” & "120Hz" for vendors who ship full 120Hz capable converters like the one shown below to your location. They will likely cost more than your BenFei adapter which may look the same but not with the same 120Hz DP output support.
