Hi all,

Could anybody tell me how to access the front fan to replace with a better one, just can't seem to see how to remove the glass front to access the fan behind it.

Thanks in advance.

The front bezel just needs to be pried off:

I think you are gonna find that the case is rivited together when produced and that fan cannot be replaced easily.I have the same case and when my fan get noisy I'll replace it by any means necessary. But in all honesty I am planning on removing all the parts from the system and buying a real motherboard and case in the spring and putting it all in that.I will be able to use a quality PSU as well.I was so dissappointed to find out it uses a weird psu which is almost impossible to find online and even harder to purchase…..

I'm pretty sure mine is a P03-640 er-11 It has one rgb fan at the bottom front,it's a tiny little thing(the actual case size) Mine was bought during the gpu shortage and the 3060 and i7-12700f were removed.I replaced it with a 1080ti and a i3-12100 it's been working fine for me as a sim-racer rig. It's much faster than my old machine which was a i7-4750k with 1080ti.I especially like having a gen4 nvme the loading is crazy fast.

Hi, can you post back (if you can) about whether the front section of the PC does just come away, like the picture here suggested?

As I have clumps of dust, and dust stuck to the inside of clear plastic on the front, and it looks horrible.

I am concerned, that if the front section pulls away, as to what will happen to the front ports on the PC?

Are they attached to the rest of the chassis and not the front part, so will just stay where they are, or are the cables attached to them going to get pulled and probably broken?

As the ports look like they are attached to the front section, I have thus far, had to turn off all the fancy lighting just so it doesn't look awful.

I know the PO3-640 is different to the 630, but according to your post here, it seems more complicated. Than just pulling the front off?

As you mention disconnecting wires, and releasing plastic bungs holding the front of the case on.

(Concerning my earlier post, I have now seen the motherboard layout, so I can see the front ports are soldered to the mainboard.)

What is a total mystery to me, is why on earth, Acer didn't just make the front clear section in front of the fan, just clip on and off the rest of the case from the outside, if clips weren't ok a couple of screws would do?

This is the PO3-640 desktops front bezel disassembly and all the connections that you need to know how to connect, this is from the PO3-640 SG, so take the front bezel off like its shown below, then get a vacuum and vacuum all the dust and felt out and clean the case fan.

Here are all the mobo connections

The glass Side panel has easy access screws making cleaning great BUT Why Not on the Front! Most visible, Most dusty. That was actually a selling point that i could see an easy way to clean And when to clean. The computer looks really cool, The kids greatly enjoy seeing the inner workings. nonetheless, now all the dust settles in that little front fan which for me is not aesthetic problem, rather a potential hazard to the machine. Would have been great to just take the front glass off as easy as side glass.

I plan to cut out the grating cleanly in a way to make it replaceable just enough to remove the dust off the fan, possibly using a dremel tool or multi tool with metal blade. 🕳️ Void me ⚫️ , haha my new catch phrase. I'll probably break it but this will make future cleaning so much quicker even if i make it just small enough to get a straw sized flexible vacuum attachment through. 💡fine mesh cleanable filters at the exterior intakes? quick remove catches dust, still flows for clean air cooling. That likely hasn't worked before or it would be standard by now on dust sensitive equipment but i have seen them work with portable air conditioners to keep aluminum fins clean⚡️

I very much enjoy this Computer. Acer makes great products. I think we all expected to access front easier considering the side was so open. Very understandable why it doesn't. You Will loosen a connection or otherwise damage something trying to get there without removing Everything from the chassis to pop those pins on this particular model. Morning project, make sure you have static shielding and canned air among other instruments.

Garyrt Said make it side clip. gravity snap J clip, Those nice easy finger screws are user friendly, big points on that, something simple. Easier said than applied, anything but potentially damaging things i didn't even need to dust.

Thank you for great products, just need to voice user opinions here. Still my favorite machine yet, has always preformed smoothly and looks great! kudos to all involved 🖤💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🖤

I was completely wrong and want to delete the earlier post so others are not confused but i cannot find in forum how to do so. one user mentions a gear wheel on post but its not available for me or the other who wanted to delete or edit their post.

Apologies for confusion and misinformation on my end. Its very easy just pry it off the bottom and as directed above for cleaning. thank you for great products, best yet for me. I will try later to attempt remove my post unless a moderator feels welcome to do so.

While I'm on a roll of humility I will hope to spare you this trouble. Don't clean your front glass panel with a paper towel or you'll have many pretty little scratches. use microfiber cloth.
