Travelmate P2 extreme infrequency in performance

So I've had my travelmate P2 for 3 months now, it had a decent CPU: Core-i7 11th gen with an ok graphics card Nvidia MX330, but the performance is soooo infrequent. Sometimes I try to play CSGO and it runs on 80 FPS smoothly while other times it can barely run on 30 FPS. Also when I try to run games like battlefield 1, it either runs on semi smooth 60 FPS or 5 FPS. And the worst of them all is when it cannot even run the main menus on games when it has this performance issue, though I have found a not so very consistent method to get better performance which is elevating the laptop for better ventilation. It still kinda sucks. The weirdest thing is that I get better FPS sometimes when I unplug my laptop!

Also I don't think it's mainly a heat problem, because one day I tried to play in the unheated room (it was freezing cold, below 0 C°) and it had the same performance problem
