Acer Nitro XR383 - remove stand to attach to VESA mount

So I just got the Acer Nitro XR383, which comes with a very nice stand, I have to admit.

But still, I would like to remove the stand it came with to attach the display to a VESA mount.
The display seems to come with a VESA compatible plate, but I struggle with removing the stand. Can anyone point me to directions on how to remove it? I found many different guides on how to remove the stand from an Acer monitor, none of which apply to this monitor, they are all different.

The plastic cover that goes behind the stand needs to be popped off before you have access to the screws.

Thanks, this is exactly what I needed. I used a credit card and stuck it in the gap exactly like you did in the screenshot, and the plastic cover comes off very easy.
