How to install Camera driver with ACER HD User Facing to replace HD User Facing in Swift SF314-59

Hi all,

My Acer model swift SF314-59 with intalled HD User Facing driver in Camera. However, it has problem in certain Application because the Application only works with Acer HD User Facing driver.

May I know how to get the Acer HD User Facing driver for swift SF314-59 and install it? Thanks!

    Hi all,

    I would like to update this case and it is resolved after the Application side provide the solution.

    The problem is: “The laptop that you reported is having the issue, which is your Acer Swift model SF314-59, is using the Intel CPU Generation 11 chip and the Intel Graphics Driver that comes with it has a known bug that is widely reported. To fix this, you need to update the graphics driver with version 30.0.100.9667 or newer.”

    From this suggestion, I installed the graphics driver with version 30.0.100.9667 in my Swift laptop, the problem is resolved. The camera is OK and the problem is due to graphics problem.

    Thanks to your suggestion.

    Your suggestions are not actually helping my problem. I have updated my computer and the camera still has problem on that particular application. It does not change the driver from HD User Facing to Acer HD User Facing. This is the key problem when running this application bacsuse it needs this Acer HD User Facing driver. Other applications so far no problem to work with the camera. The camera is working fine in all normal functions but only this application.

    All I need is to change the driver from HD User Facing to Acer HD User Facing. That is the only way to resolve the camera problem with this application. I am trying but still cannot resolve this problem.

    Hi egydiocoelho and all,

    Yes, the driver has shown as below. It looks like the same as Acer HD User Facing compared with my another Acer laptop model Spin SP314-55N as another snapshot.

    However, the camera in Acer swift SF314-59 with HD User Facing cannot work properly as compare with the Spin model.

    Hence, I want to change the driver of the swift to Acer HD User Facing so that it could help to run on that particular application. Thanks!

    Those drivers are the same, it's just the name that is different. What application is it? an you show us the error message the application gives you?

    They are the exact same driver. It's just one computer picking the “friendly” name in the hardware id and the other computer didn't.

    So that's not the issue —- and you didn't tell us what is your problem?

    If your problem is “my webcam works in teams, but not in zoom (or reverse)” type of problems, then you can also google a bunch of people having “my microphone works in teams, but not in zoom (or reverse)” problems. You can search the entire internet, somehow nobody can fix these kinds of problems.

    If you have some apps like OBS installed, they create a virtual webcam. Some logitech webcam drivers (not your case) also include some settings app and create a virtual webcam. So instead of you pointing zoom to your webcam, you may try to point zoom to your virtual webcam. As I said it, nobody seem to be able to actually fix this problem in dozens and dozens of internet forum help threads.

    Note that that link isn't to an actual Intel site. You are better off to use Intel's Driver and Support Assistant to do the install instead of going to an unknown third party site. Also a driect link like that will eventually be pointing at the old version after Intel releases the next update, and could also break after a while if they remove that specific download. It's already old, since the current version is 31.0.101.2115.
