Acer portal error “internet connection lost. Try again it later”

As I tried to sign up by the Acer portal, I got an error notification “internet connection lost. Try again it later”. How could I solve the problem, if the internet connection is stable.

    Which Acer Portal software are you trying to use? What machine came with it? Your model number should be on the same sticker as the serial number and looks like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx or similar.

    That software went end of life several years ago, and the servers for it are no longer up.
