Hey guys,Recently my Acer Aspire 5741Z started having some overheating issues and used to suddenly shut down even when I was doing less intense-performance stuff such as Word, surfing the web etc. Approximately my laptop turned off 21 times in 1 month. I also wanted to update the BIOS of the laptop since it was quite outdated (1.08[quite doubtful about this] to 1.15, InsydeH2O). It was updating the BIOS when my mom saw it and panicked because it read "Erasing...." and closed the window. She called me later and said why is the laptop hanging so much, and this was a different type of hanging, the battery LED was still showing blue(charging) when I had removed the cable. Even the power button hold to turn off didn't work and I had to remove the battery. A few hours later, I noticed that the laptop wasn't responding to anything, the power button and charging LED' s were completely blank and the laptop wasn't turning on. (Tried the battery remove and press method but to no avail :( ) How do I solve this situation guys? Is it something to do with the CMOS (a huge pain in this laptop because I need to fully disassemble) or what? Please help! (Also, would you recommend thermal paste or pads, as there is no dedicated GPU?) Thanks a lot.
