Purple line on Acer ED323QUR Abidpx 31.5 Inches

That purple line appeared a few days ago and I'm unfortunately 6 months out of warranty. I was thinking of opening up the device myself and hoping it's just something as simple as a disconnecting ribbon. This panel has had problems in the past of only half of it displaying but they always went away. So I'm hoping that I can just open it up and reseat a cable and be done with it. If anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it. I'm guessing if something is wrong with the board or panel I'm SOL.

I was hoping ACER would make an exception since I reported problems with it in the past, but I don't even have a repair place near me.

    And you won't reach any Acer support people here anyway, just the rest of us Acer users. It's most likely the cable, either internal or external, but not impossible for it to be th edisplay itself.
