N50-110 ES11 TWO BEEPS / Black Screen Boot/ bought a non-working N50-110 to try to fix it.

Hi,

I bought a non-working N50-110 to try to fix it. Now after replacing the PSU, the 1-stick RAM config seems to cause a double beep only when inserted in the black RAM slots. The PC doesn't beep

when RAM is in the white slots but doesn't display either. Maybe it's the CMOS, but I wasn't successful at fixing the issue trying to clear it.

If there's no RAM, it will long beep forever. I tried replacing the GPU, tried 3 other RAM sticks with no success. The only thing that works is that the fans are turning.

Any ideas? The RAM inserted is : Kingston 8gb 1Rx8 PC4 - 2666V - UA2-11

The mo-bo is a DAAM4L_Martina and it seems undocumented.

I believe I would have to change the RAM type, anyone knows what model would be best for trying to fix this?

First, try to do a reset of the mobo, take the bios battery out and clear the CMOS and then set bios to default settings when the mobo fires up. you also need the last Acer Nitro N50-110s bios version installed titled - Fix CBR RAM Size incorrect Issue - Version:R01-A2 - Date: 2020/09/11. This is the compatible ram for the N50110 that can have a max total of 64GB ram into its 4x UDIMM slots at 16GB DDR4 of the following RAM:

1. DDR4-2400 • CL=17 • NON-ECC • UDIMM • 288-pin • 1.2V • 1Rx8 • PC4-19200 or
2. DDR4-2666 • CL=19 • NON-ECC • UDIMM • 288-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8/1Rx8/1Rx16 • PC4-21300 or
3. DDR4-3200 • CL=22 • NON-ECC • UDIMM • 288-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8/1Rx8 • PC4-25600

These are the numbered 4x UDIMM slots of this desktop:

If you have 2x 8GB of those KINGSTON ACR26D4U9S8ME-8 that is a CL19 type ram (that should work 100%) that you have shown in your caption, then put them into UDIMM slots 1 and 2 only as shown highlighted below in the table under Total Memory 16GB at 2x 8GB

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll reach for another RAM stick and report back. By the way, Another thing that I noticed is that the fans are starting to spin as soon as I plug the PSU which lead me to believe the PSU was the problem in the first place but it's replaced with a new one and the same issue occurs.

I've received a new Kingston CL19 RAM stick and the Acer Nitro is still double beeping.

My ram slots are as follow from further from the CPU: white,black,white,black.

It doesn't beep when RAM is in white slots (dimm 1 & 2), but only the fans are spinning. No display.

I've tried plugging my phone in the front USB, it showed as charging for 2 seconds then it stopped.

Any ideas @StevenGen?

The PSU is a new 500W .

Moreover, the fans starts spinning as soon as I plug the power cord in the PSU.

The issue was with the CPU. Replacing the CPU should bring this PC back to life.
