Helios 500 ph517-51-72NU CPU heat spiking

Hello, s I have the helios 500 ph517-51-72NU , It started overheating couple of months ago so I repasted it and changed the pads. And everything worked perfect. but after a month the cpu is starting to spike up the temp. for example on idle it can go up to higher 50s or even 60 and then spike up to 80 or 75 and then drop back to mid or high 50s ( after repasting it was straight up higher 40s on idle) and during gaming on the exact same fan settings it goes up to the lower 90s ( after repasting it never reached 80).

The GPU remained the same never surpassing 60

I would really appreciate any help, I ordered another paste and I might repaste again , but I doubt its a problem with the paste since i used it on a different pc and on the gpu and they seem to be working just fine.

clean the fans mate

use a high grade, high end thermal paste

I think its normal especially if you are doing games and launching many apps or have many apps running on the background

I do clean the fans once every 2 weeks and iam using artic mx-4 the same paste i've been using since forever even on the work stations with overclocking, so its not an issue of the paste. And its not normal iam using the same apps under the same circumstances but have a significant increase in the temps

This laptop is designed to operate at high temps and your temps are not high for playing high end game or GPU demanding games, laptops are not like gaming desktops, if you want a hard core gaming platform, get a gaming desktop. You need to compremise and understand that laptops are an enclosed platform that cant be upgarded in any way with extra cooling, except a tablet cooler or a suction vent fan (which on your laptop is very awkward to fit) that these accessories will inject extra cool air or suck hot air out of the enclosure keeping that airflow cool at all temps in the enclosure.

Your temps are normal. Acer specifies the folloing, CPU Turbo off at 90°C; CPU Turbo on at 80°C, CPU Prochot on at 98°C; CPU Prochot off at 90°C and EC Shut down at 100°C. The fans are designed to spin at the folloing rpm's: CPU fan at 94c spins at 5200rpm and the GPU fan at 90c spinning at 5200rpm also.

if you have Predatorsense app, set it to max and turbo/high performance (the rpm should be 7000 plus or more)

how old is your laptop mate?

use ORIGINAL IETS GT500 V2(Hub+RGB) Laptop Cooling Pad

if the 2 years warranty is over, you can make customize vents below the laptop for faster heat dissipation

The model that I have never reaches more than 4.4k rpm on the fans which I am quite sure is the normal. You guys are mistaken it for a different model.

I know that it is still within normal range of temps, all iam saying is that it was a better and suddenly the cpu is spiking up the temps, for no apperant reason.

I think it's time to sell your laptop and buy a new one, preferrably 12th gen or 13th gen Intel processor with NVIDIA GPU to avoid problems and hassles in the future.
