Hi,

My device is about a year and a half old, out of warranty , and im already facing trouble with the usb ports.

So I currently have a cooling pad plugged in, it never works just by plugging it in like normal, I have to wiggle, pull and fiddle with the cord to make it work. I have made sure that the cable isnt the issue (plugged the pad into a phone charger). This has happened with my usb mic and a seagate drive that got corrupted via the same port when I lightly nudged the cable (this was a while ago).

There is absolutely zero damage on the laptop, all this time ive used it like a desktop pc, it has never been dropped.

The same problem has affected the second USB port with the battery logo on it, and when I checked the USB board is not separate from the main motherboard. Does that mean I'd have to replace the entire thing to fix the problem?

@ss980 does another USB device have the same connection with the second USB port? Those ports can be replaced by soldering, you can take it to a computer shop that repairs motherboards.

Thank you and have a nice day!
