Mixing memory generally isn't recommended , so kits are sold as 8-16-32-64gb packs, 48 gb of mixed memory might be good for some productivity tasks but it will get out performed by matched ram, if you get 4x16 on this motherboard it will default to 4000mhz and if you get 2x32 it will run at a high 4400mhz, 2x32 or 2x16 both would run at 4400mhz on this motherboard so if one is out performing the other it would likely be down to the quality of the modules, happens with same types of CPUs and GPUs too , one will out perform the other or be more overclockable , its a silicon lottery as it's something which couldn't be controlled at manufacture but all pieces of whatever it is meet the minimum spec.

ok so i ran the test 3 times first time everything closed 2nd time with everything open meaning programs then 3rd time i took out the 2x8 Samsung that came with my pc and just ran the 2x16 crucial as i remember someone saying to try and my score went up kind of odd. all tests were run after a restart. so now it makes me wonder should i sell my 2x16 crucial and get 2x32 or what to do Haha. opinions-thoughts?

Not worth it, until we know for sure if XMP is supported on these motherboards or will be at some point in the future via an update, some people seem to think there should be XMP profile support but the option is greyed out for many on the newest bios revision, so it's down to acer really.

ok i understand but would 2x32 outperform 2x16 is all I'm asking i assume YES but Ya never know. according to crucial when i called and spoke to them they told me 4x16 is more powerful than 2x32 so who knows it really seems each time you ask an agent something you get a different answer be it acer, crucial, geek squad etc. that's why i ask here i know you guys have experimented and tried different things compared to these tech agents who takes calls all day long. and after the tests i ran today it seems 2x16 is better than what i had before the 2x16 and 2x8 mixed. I've been playing my games ever since i took out the 2x8 and it seems faster but it's hard to tell but the benchmark results don't lie. so how could 32 gigs be faster than 48 gigs it makes no sense to me.

well i didn't buy a kit from crucial i bought a single 16 gig then a couple months later bought another single 16 gig so then i said to myself maybe instead of getting a 2x16 i should probably buy 2 single 16 gig sticks to match what i have from them. would that matter? and is 4400 really that much faster than 4000 and BTW Ya did an excellent job explaining that because i have been confused about it until now.

Difference in terms of performance would be 5% , so comes down to whether you need it or not, 4000mhz to 4800mhz would be just over 9% , if you plan to get a faster motherboard later and/or do 4k gaming then every % starts to matter at that point.
